Default Agency workers

We have an agency worker who suffered an accident at work. Who has responsibility for that? Us or the agency?

This is tricky, but I would say that the agency is responsible for their workers.

Not really, you as the placement company should be responsible for ensuring that your workplace is healthy and safe for everybody who enters it.

Right the agency is only responsible to a point. They are responsible to make sure that you are qualified for the job, and if there are any health risks at the placement site. If there are risks, they should know how the contracting company is mitigating these risks. They should be sure that you are aware of these risks too.

I have found, however, that at close range, it is usually always best to keep the exposure compensation to the normal setting or there will often be overexposure.

I worked for a Utilities company on a agency contract for 2 1/2 years and i was never offered a permanent contract the whole time i was there even though i asked many times, they wouldn't even promote Agency Staff to higher positions within the company.

The best way for you to go about it is simply to make it known that you'd really like a permanent job.

I agree, as the placement company you are responsible for H&S not only for agency workers even for sheer visitors.
