What covers a working time policy?

As we know, a working time policy covers the regulations related to the EC Working Time Directive. Specifically, it contains the minimum conditions that relate to weekly working time, annual leaves, rest entitlements, as well as the special provision for health assessments and working hours for night workers.

Those covered are workers employed under a contract of employment, casual workers, freelance workers, and self-employed workers.

Workers excluded from the Working Time Regulations in certain circumstances are the police, the emergency service workers, the armed forces.
