Default False Advertising

Hello there,

I work as a secretary for a company that recruits self employed people and pays them on a commission basis, no basic salary. My boss has ordered me and my team to place adverts for these jobs, but stating they are employed and salaried. Is there a legal issue over this? It's one thing to be economical with the truth, but this is bare faced lying - the advert carries the sentence "this is not a self employed role" - when it is!

It's not illegal but food trading standards wont pass any non-vegetarian products with the label suitable for vegetarians on it. Usually though they get the company to simply remove the label from their products.
