redundancy help

I am in the process of being made redundant and just need a little advice...when I was informed that my position was being made redundant me and another colleague whos job was also affected where dragged into the managers office and informed of what was happening, after being informed we were told to go back to work, the manager then informed all the other colleagues what was happening, now I have read somewhere that other colleagues should not be informed of what is happening intill the people who are affected have had a one to one consultation... however this never happened is there anything I can do about this???

I was in a similar situation last year and it was explained to me that because I hadn't been employed for a full year I wasn't entitled to a full years holidays. ie you only get the percentage of your holidays according to the percentage of the year you worked. Hope this helps.
