Default What HR reports contain

We are a new company and we have yet to finalize our structure. We still have to work on certain systems, too. We have yet to hire people to man our human resource department, as we estimate to grow in manpower size within the next few months. (Currently, there are only five of us, partners.)

We already have HR candidates, and they are all experienced. We will be relying on them with regard to all HR concerns and HR requirements as my partners and I have no sufficient know-how. My question is, what can we expect from our HR people? What should we expect HR reports to be like? We just want to know and be able to assess whether we really hired competent HR staff. And we want to be hands-on with regard to everything.

From what I'm used to, HR reports should cover major HR issues, HR developments, a data on absence and turnover, the role and performance of departments or employees, update on key performance indicators, payroll systems, and new initiatives -- especially those that involve equal opportunities.
