Default Life insurance set to increase?

I've been discussing our benefits with my manager and she says that life assurance premiums are set to increase. Would this be true?

I've read AON Consulting's report that said that insurers are looking at an increase this year.

Aon surveyed insurance companies and found that half of them think that the premiums would stay steady while 38% think that it will increase.

Well that just means that if you are thinking of getting life assurance for your employees, you should do it now while the rates are still low.

That is right. Making the decision now would save your company a lot of money.

I really think that life assurance is a good way to attract employees into your fold. Even at a salary sacrifice, they still get to save on premiums.

It all depends on what you're protecting. Ideally you should have enough to cover all burial expenses and to likely pay off any debt you may have at the time. Anything else had better be for loved ones. Clearly, if you have a spouse and/or children, it makes much more sense.

Default Insurers

Insurers will use any possible metric or measurement, when convenient, if it helps increasing the premium.
