Default Why not the whole?

I was in an auto accident that left me unable to work. Good thing our company had IPI protection. But I only got half of my monthly salary, what gives?

I think that IPI policies really do give out only a portion of your salary per month, but 50% is low!

I think that you should check out your policy. Yup, they give out only a portion of your monthly salary because that will encourage you to get back on your feet and work!

I was wondering why you can't be insured for the full salary.

For the reason that it would give you an incentive to go back to work. Also, since PHI money is tax free, if you get the full amount, then that means that you are actually getting more while sick than when you are at work
