I'm trying to find statistics on secondment, but was not able to. Do you guys have any?

There is 2003 CIPD survey that showed that more than 77% of nearly 5000 CIPD members used internal secondments that is quite high compared to only 40% using external secondments.

Yup. The survey found that 78% found that secondments were very effective or effective in developing talents.

I think it's great that a lot of companies are using secondment to develop their talents and employees. It just shows that it is very effective too!
