Default Suicide? Time to train to be scrapped?

I've heard that the right of an employee to ask for time out for training is going to be scrapped. Is this true??? If it is, then it's suicide!

I sure hope it isn't! Training is very vital to developing your talents. It does not only benefit the employee, but the company as well!

I think that the slant is going in that direction. The current review is aimed at "decreasing the burden" on companies. Sigh. Yes, I do think it is suicide!

I only know that the right to ask time out for training came into law last April. It would have required businesses to document any refusal to such requests in writing, right?

Yup, you're right. And I do think that the new law would have benefited employees in that they would get the chance to properly get the training they need.

I think that a TUC survey would prove enlightening. The TUC found that more than 2/5 of employees are considering requesting time off for training. The TUC also found that 10 million workers got absolutely no training!

Then the time to train law should have been very helpful.

Sigh, it seems that businesses are not bent on improving skills, which is really a bad idea!
