Default How can a get HR experience and find out if its for me?

Hello everyone this is my first post because I am considering a Career in HR and want to know from the people who know where to start. I have no experience but would like to gain some by volunteering my time to an employer in the North East. 1. Do you think if I approach a company asking to work shadow in their HR department, would they say yes. 2. Could anyone give me some tips on how to start?

Many Thanks.

Default Advice

Yes that would be a good place to start, there's a very good chance they may say yes if you have the correct base qualifications to meet the grade.

Start by writing a introductory letter that details your interest in gaining some work experience, also comment on your experience to date and specifically why you think they should employ you.

After you've done this roughly three days to a week afterwards you should contact the businesses you sent the letters to by phone, just to remind them and prompt action if you haven't heard from them. You could also do this by email depending on the businesses.

I hope this helps x

In view of the new communications environment there is a need of re-branding and more importantly rethinking of the traditional branding concepts. Each customer experience is made up of any number of touch points and customer encounters, each of which should be measured independently to determine their contribution to the overall experience.
