Default Mismanagement of probation period

Hi, I am hoping some one would help advise me on a situation my partner is currently going through.

He started a job in March, was getting on really well, got a verbally confirmed - don't worry your through your probation period.
in July after a frustrating time where he was getting no feed back or direction from the people who were meant to be mentoring he had a bit of a blow out with them all and said a few things that perhaps if he had thought about he wouldn't have said.

He was then called into the office the following day and told that his boss hadn't sent the paperwork for his probation away and so was putting him on a month probation as the Team have decided that he hadn't intergrated well.

so this month August, my partner has been pulling stupid hours, and has been asking for feed back, to try and make sure that what he is doing is right so that at the end of the month he doesn't get fired, but he boss is ignoring him and not returning his calls, not telling him how he is doing, saying he is going to contact him and then not. as its a sales position he is hitting all of his KPIs and has just had the letter though for next wednesday to go into the office at 9am to have a formal review.

I really feel he is being constructivly dismissed and as he hasn't been there a year know there isn't alot we can do, the only conclusion I can come to is they needed to keep him on for this month as it was a busy time and now they are just going to fire him.

If there us any advise about how we should handle this that would be great.

Thanks

Jenny

OK, the main thing here is NOT what is best for the company, NOT what is best for you, but what is best for your baby. Trust me, handling a baby alone is only going to get tougher, not easier, as baby gets more active. Make a list of hours you will work, things you will do for your employer and then lay it all out.
