Please can someone help me on this, I am am starting a new job within the same company and my old boss has contacted my new boss regarding HR action being taken for me going half a day over my sickness, HR said that no action is to be taken but they still rang my new boss and told them all about it is this right??

Why did your old boss ring your new boss? I am not quite clear on the situation...
