When is it illegal to ask invasive health and disability questions?

Well you can ask questions if it is needed for the job. Like if you need a typist, so you really can't hire someone who's blind.

No, not really. The burden of proof has shifted from the applicant to the employee. In the event that a job offer is withdrawn, it is now the employer who is liable to prove that the withdrawal of the job offer is not due to the disability but due to other things.

It is very important to see how your recruitment process works. Untargeted health questions on your application form is no longer allowed.
