I've read about this case about a transsexual caregiver who sued her former employer because she came to work wearing a dress. Andrew, now Rachel Millington, showed up for work at Housing and Support Solutions Ltd. as a woman and was soon fired.

I know about this case, Rachel even told her employer about the sex change, but the employer was not supportive.

I think it is a sad tale. Rachel was just given a phone call telling her not to come in anymore.

We all know that it's against the law, but does this fall under gender discrimination?

Yes it does. Aside from gender discrimination, you could file for loss of earnings and unfair dismissal.

I do hope she gets what's due her!
