I have just had to leave my job because i was employed to build a sales team but was told not to let anyone with an accent past the telephone interview as after i had bought a few people in for an interview who had applied and i felt would be good at the job i was then to say no to to them all as they had accents, i felt that this was totally illegal and felt extremely uncomfortable turning people away that i felt would be good at the job for no other reason than the fact they had accents, some of which where perfectly well qualified to do the job as had studied in media which was our area of business, i have taped my boss and his designer telling me that no accents are allowed and to give them pizza huts number whilst putting on an African accents!!!!,,, has any one got any advice as to what i should do as feel that i should do something, also i don't think they are paying national insurance as it states on my payslip that they are deducting it from my wages but the N.I number on my payslip is a made up one (AB123456C)??? any advice would be gratefully recieved ,,,, thank you
